On June 15, 2023 The Friends of Nashawannuck Pond, Inc. 501(c)(3) was created.
Our mission is to directly and/or indirectly financially support Nashawannuck Pond and the City of Easthampton’s Nashawannuck Pond Steering Committee for the maintenance and preservation of the Pond for generations to come.
Nashawannuck Pond, "Nash Pond", "The Bottle", or the center of WhoVille . . . whatever you want to call it, Nashawannuck Pond is unique: a jewel and much loved landmark that connects and binds the community of Easthampton, Massachusetts. The Pond is the heart of our downtown and a symbol of Easthampton’s natural beauty.
All donations directly support annual herbicide treatments to control invasive species and the use of barley straw to prevent harmful algae, cyanobacteria, and maintenance / restoration as determined by the Nashawannuck Pond Steering Committee. We continually fundraise with the knowledge that there will be larger projects on the horizon.
As we receive no annual city budget, we rely on the generosity of our community and local businesses to continue this important work.
All donations are tax deductible as we are a 501 (c)(3) EIN# 92-1275578.
Donations can be made via the "Donate" buttons below, Venmo,or in the form of checks made out to and mailed to:
