Volunteers are asked to sign up for a 3 or 4 hour shift online and will check in at the Municipal Lot at 50 Payson Ave. on the day of the event. Bring gloves, contractor bags, rakes, brooms, weeding tools, etc. Wheelbarrows are appreciated if mulching. Don’t forget to bring your phone! This year the the clean up will include the use of Litterati, an app which allows users to geo-tag the location and type of litter they find. Using hashtags and uploading images of the litter to a database, a map is created of the local community, showing where significant sources of litter are found. This data can be used to help change behaviors. More information on Litterati may be found on their website: http://www.litterati.org. To sign up online to volunteer, visit http://www.nashawannuckpond.org and learn more.
